I have zero experience with this, but I was wondering if I could run a murmur server on the router? My other option would be my mybooklive, but I have no experience with either one. Is this possible?

I love this forum. It always makes me want what I didn't even know it exists :-D

Sorry I personally can't help (perhaps somebody else on the forum?) but thanks for the input!

1st: you have to have installed optware!

add my repo to your ipkg.conf (do this only ones)
    refresh ipkg
    and install umurmur
    set config file: /opt/etc/umurmur/umurmur.conf

    and start process: /opt/etc/init.d/umurmurd.rc start
    thats all :)

I'm having a problem with installing umurmur on Tomato Shibby release 116, on an Asus AC66U.

First, this command runs after mounting a usb drive: mount -o bind /tmp/mnt/sda1 /opt

Then I installed Entware using the "" script that came with Shibby Release 116.

Then I add the following line to \opt\etc\opkg.conf (it seems entware uses opkg rather than ipkg?)

    src shibby

Then I run "opkg update" followed by "opkg install umurmur" and receive many "has no valid architecture, ignoring." errors, including:

Package umurmur version 0.2.13-1 has no valid architecture, ignoring.
    Unknown package 'umurmur'.
    Collected errors:
    * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package umurmur.

Can someone help me install umurmur? Thank you very much.

[edit] Sorry, it seems entware has two versions of umurmur in their repo already, so this command works fine:

    opkg install umurmur-polarssl

You cant mix entware's and optware's packages! My Umurmur is compiled for optware!

@shibby20 : is it possible to have umurmur package in the arm repo?
I do not know how to make it work and currently that is what keeps me back from upgrading my router :)

    thank you!
