Does anyone know how to disable openvpn client logs from writing entries to /var/log/messages such as:

    Dec 28 09:48:43 tomato daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: VERIFY OK: nsCertType=SERVER
    Dec 28 09:48:43 tomato daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: VERIFY OK: depth=0, C=UK, ST=NR, L=xx, O=xx Pro, OU=VPN, CN=server, emailAddress=xx
    Dec 28 09:48:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: Data Channel Encrypt:
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: OpenVPN STATISTICS
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: Updated,Sat Dec 28 10:02:44 2013
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: TUN/TAP read bytes,9955854
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: TUN/TAP write bytes,26924559
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: TCP/UDP read bytes,28137152
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: TCP/UDP write bytes,11161428
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: Auth read bytes,26947839
    Dec 28 10:02:44 xx daemon.notice openvpn[10270]: END

I already have vpn_debug=0 but I don't believe it does anything for the client.

add the following line to the Advanced box in OpenVPN's settings page:

    Code:
    verb 0
Check out the OpenVPN manpage for more.
