Just decided to start off this thread to get suggestions for the QoS configuration at home.

Here are a few things on my ISP and bandwidth requirements:

    1. Local ISPs are crap and intelligent management of the bandwidth is required.
    2. I started off the configuration below and just need some hints to better tweak it to my needs.
    3. Pandora, XBOX Live, OpenVPN (TCP 443) and Netflix might be the most priority and bandwidth sensitive items at home. Pretty much in that order.
    4. I am on torrents pretty much all the time.
    5. Using Idrive to backup some data and my upload bandwidth is crap. If Idrive is running overnight and it takes most of the upload bandwidth, I would like to be dropped when other higher (Item 3) services are requested.
    6. The first three IPs in highest are the management boxes on my network.
    7. What is the best distro for Tomato with USB support? Just downloaded the one from Toastman repo… Version 1.28.7477.1 VPN.

By those requirements, I am kindly requesting some feedback to better move the QoS Configuration to the requirements listed above. I started off by reading a few of the QoS threads around and some trials on my own.

    Thanks to all in advanced!

Hey dude. Thanks for sharing your QoS setup. I'm in need of help of setting mines up. What does the outbound and inbound stand for? Or could I just copy down your configuration and nothing will go wrong?
