Okay, I have just freshly reinstalled Windows XP and have come to find out that my driver which detected the wireless signals from my WRT54G router is gone. The only driver I see is:

Realtek RTL8139/8 10x Family Fast Ethernet NIC

When I go to my Network Connections in the Control Panel, I don't see any connection other than the direct Local Area Connection I'm forced to use to keep the internet up.

I went to my router's page on linksys.com and viewed the downloads available. The "Driver" download is grayed out though, so what do I do?

Looks like you need to install the wireless adapter driver manually. Check the driver CD that comes with the wireless adapter, then use it to make driver installation. If not, you can go to adapter manufacturer website and get the driver.

If the wireless adapter is built-in on your labtop, you should be able to get the driver from labtop manufacturer website.

    Hope helps..

Your router does not need drivers, your actual network card does. What is the network card that you are using in your PC?
