NAS Extremely low transfer speeds after Scandisk

I've been rather happy with my NAS200, except for one small issue.

I currently have it set to run scandisk once a week, and after an abnormal shutdown.

I only have one drive in it. Before a scandisk, only the light for drive 1 is on. After a scandisk, the lights for 1 and 2 stay on until the unit is shut down.

Everything works fine after an abnormal shutdown scandisk, but when it does it on the schedule, it gets really, really slow. I tried streaming a video to my xbox after a scandisk yesterday, and it was extremely pixelated, to the point of being to slow to even play. When I watch that same file that's on my desktop, it plays fine.

    Any thoughts?
