hello, I have bought a nas200, I put a WD 500gb blue caviar HDD formatted into NTFS in Windows, and nas200 does not detect it, nor I can not format it. Any idea? I have the latest firmware. What to do? Thanks.

The NAS200 can't read the files off a pre-formatted hard disk, it needs to reformat it and you will lose all data that's already on there.

That being said, it should still recognize that you put the hard disk in (the status page should show the disk), and it should let you format it.

You didn't try to hot-swap it or something did you? The NAS200 doesn't support that. You have to turn the unit off before you add or remove hard disks.

If you can, try another hard disk and see if it gets recognized. If the NAS doesn't recognize any hard disks at all (in either drive bay), there's probably a hardware problem and you should contact Linksys or the store where you bought it, to get it fixed or replaced.
