I know this is an old box now, but I have been running my NAS200 with Jac4 firmware for along time and have been extremely happy with it.

I would very much like to run a sftp server on the box and wondered if it was possible to do this. I need to to SSH into the box and sftp filesync accross it.

I look forward to your replies.

Hi. A bit late, but it's possible to get sftp on the NAS200 by building the sftp-server component of openssh. You would have to make it appear in /usr/lib/misc/sftp-server with Jac4 as built, which would entail adding some commands to the boot scripts to /usr/lib/ to some place on one of the harddisks and then doing a bind mount on /usr/lib to that directory. In /usr/lib, you'd then just create a directory called 'misc' and then copy your cross-compiler-built sftp-server into that.

Not too hard really, but you've gotta really know your Linux.
