just wondering if someone can recommend a really stable shibby router as of 2013. I intend to use wireless capability a lot so good security/qos/wifi speed are a must. So far I thnk my choices are

    -Asus rt or wl series

    I can spend $100-$150.
If someone can give me some ideas, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

The RT-N66 is quite nice and in widespread use. I setup 7 of them about 4-5-ish months ago, and aside from the occasional moron deciding to unplug them and then start complaining about wireless connectivity they've been perfect. Not entirely sure what to do for that problem though. It might involve hot glue and cattleprods.

RT-16n - 3Vlans, Media server, Voip client and my prime router at home! I need only 2,4ghz and rt-16n is the best 2,4ghz router supported by tomato

I like my E4200 cause of dual-band which is nice to avoid congestion on the 2.4GHz. When I or one of my close neighbours use the microwave it knocks out or lags my wireless connection.

However finding a E4200 V1 is a pain, you mostly have to buy refurbished and even then they usually sell as E4200 without mentioning which version it is.
