Hello, I just joined, I figured this would be a great place to ask about these sort of things.

Basically we've been tied to 56kbs dialup for about... ever, and we're really looking at DSL. And I'm completely new to any type of networks

We need a wireless network that can cover one house, but we want to be able to access the wireless internet from another house which is a little more than 100yrds away.

    Here are the specs.

1st House: Ancient house, (solid adobe walls) however the area around is really flat and tree free.

    Devices in 1st house:
    • 1 Windows XP PC
    • 1 Windows Vista Home PC
    • 1 Windows XP Laptop
    • several misc devices

The second house is more modern, traditional wood frame walls.

    Devices in 2nd house
    • 1 Windows XP laptop

The Windows Vista Computer is my main PC.
Any Ideas on what equipment I should consider getting?
    Thanks for any help!
