How do I go about setting up my wireless router? I recently purchased a linksys WRT54GS wireless router. I have a cable modem attached to a router. I want to use my linksys to receive some bandwith from my cable modem. My cable modem is on the lowest floor (basement) and my office is on the middle floor (the floor above the basement). I hope the signal is strong enough to reach onto the middle floor. There are a lots of ceilings and walls to get through. Also my basement is very noisy since I have my brothers watching TV and play video games often. Just wanna know if I should connect my Linksys to the router via LAN to LAN port. My cable router is already hooked to my other router via WAN to WAN port. Is it possible for me to set up a different IP address for the wireless router. I never set up a network before. Thanks.
