    Hi All,

I need to do the following and need help setting it up.
I want to put a WRT54G on LAN and have the wireless clients
get IP addresses from a DHCP server on the LAN. So the wireless
    clients can access local fileshares.

    here is the network:

    LAN - 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255
    DHCP: 192.168.1.1
    WRT54G - 192.168.1.31

    -------------192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255 ------
    |
    |
    192.168.1.31 (WRT)
    |
    |-------------------|
    | wifi net |
    client1 client2
    192.168.1.232 192.168.1.233

Wireless clients attached to the WRT54G should get IP addresses
from 192.168.1.232 - 192.168.1.254. This is already configured
    in the dhcp server.

    I am using Hyperwrt_GS_Thibor13c.

    Thanks in advance..

If there is a DHCP server on the LAN and you have more than 30 clients you would have IP address conflict. I am assuming the WRT54G has a local address of 192.168.1.31. Why do you not have a address of 192.168.231 for the WRT54G and the DHCP Server giving out addressses of 192.168.1 to 192.168.1.230. Are the two clients on the WRT54G being assigned static addresses from the WRT54G or are they have static addresses from their wireless NICs? Who is handling the DNS name resolutions?
