    Hi all,

First of all want to tks in advance for any help.

    Here it goes:

I have a BEFSR41 V3 router that was working fine.
We had a power faliure in our neibourhood a couple of days ago.
I found the router blinking the Power light.
Only the Internet Light lights up wen i conect a cable none of the other light up.
I've checked the FAQ and found that this simptom could mean to make a reset for 30 secs and upload the firmware again.
Downloaded the firmware and tool and followed the instructions but i cant ping the router at any rj45 entry.
the ip on the cpu is
    the mask is
    the gateway is
    the dns server is
Bottom line i cant put the firmware back in.

the reset process dont work since ive try it already the power line just keeps blinking.

wen i connect the network cable at any port cpu says network cable is plugged but i still cant ping it.

Is any other way for me to reset the router than the reset buton?
Did you know some way to fix this?

    Thank's one more time.
    Best Regards,

i think you have to take back the router to linksys for repair.when the power lights keeps on blinking it cannot load the firmware properly even if you reset it & still the same then need to take for repair

if you cannot ping the router then there is very little you cna do. try lowering the ethernet connection to 10mb half duplex (from within your PC)

then power off router. then try this.

make sure pc setup is manually confirgure for IP address. set it as

    PC IP
    mask is

then run tftp.exe selct the firmware you want. when this is done, turn power on orouter, and try to then flash router whilst it is booting up.

    just a thought.
