I don't know if dd-wrt was even written for this version of the wireless Linksys routers -wrt600n, but seems like it, as they have a wrt600n folder in their download section.

However, I'm lacking a step-by-step tutorial on how to load dd-wrt to this wrt600n.

There is a sticky on this forum with a link to a tutorial to do this on a WRT54G, and I've done that successfully several times. But I couldn't apply that to this wrt600n.

When I go to the dd-wrt website, in the Download section, in the Release-candidates folder, they have a subfolder for wrt600n, but inside that, there is no firmware for this particular model...

And I understand that there are more steps than just simply flashing the firmware (like you have to generate some image file or something...).

Anyways, has it been done yet, or not?

If yes, then somebody, who did this, could you please, provide some instructions, including what files you have to download and where to find them?

    Thanks

    Peter

Personally I would wait till Ver. 24 is done in the current Pre RC 7 builds they are still having LED detection problems, and I don't believe they can control the 5ghz radios yet.

Here is the WRT600N Issue Thread.

Also in the Pre RC 7 folders you will find a WRT600N build of the firmware you flash that one FIRST then you flash the Generic, restoring the factory defaults between each flash.

I have a WRT350N and its pretty much fully supported now but, I'm holding off buying a WRT600N until DD-WRT is more supported on it.

    Any questions let me know.

I returned these things to the store... I'll play more with my WRT54G routers that work like a charm.
