Need help with traffic counter

I've already posted here and there: I'm having problems with tomato counting broadcast traffic (addressed to x.x.x.255 address locally) toward WAN bandwidth when, in fact, it's all rejected by the firewall (logging shows thousands of those packets when I enable 'both' in inbound connection logging and nothing if I set inbound to 'if allowed by firewall'). I wonder if there's some sort of script or command that could help me limit the WAN traffic counter to the traffic which is actually ALLOWED to pass through the Tomato's firewall, and not to count EVERYTHING that hits it from the outside the firewall. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
