    Hi,
I have 2 computers behind the WRT54G and when my first computer is already connected to a cs server, my second computer cant connect to the same server as the first one.

But it can connect to the different server with no problem at all.

Can anyone help me with this problem.
its kinda annoying when we want to play in the same server.

    thx in advance

what sort of error do you get when trying to connect?

what version and firmware of WRT54G are you running? Using sveasoft and now dd-wrt, i've always been able to connect to the same server as a roomate of mine in CS, quake, BF2 etc

it keeps retying to connect to the server, it stops at "establishing network connection".

my router is ver 3.1 and I've used the latest official firmware, hyperwrt tofu 13c , and hyperwrt thibor 15c.
None of them is working. :(

this might be a dumb question but are you both using the same cd key?

I believe you will not be able to connect to the same server at the same time. You only have one public IP address assigned by your ISP. When the first PC is connected, the public IP is already in use so your second computer will not be able to logon anymore on the same server. :)

thats right.. I only got one valid ip.
but it shouldnt be a problem.. since WRT54G can do NAT for all clients.
thats the main reason.. they created this router thingy.

Its there a way to completely erase the nvram and return to the default stock firmware ??

    That is exactly the problem.

What NAT cannot do is to create more than one broadband connection (and IP address) to your ISP. It doesn't perform miracles.

I know Quake3 has a commndline parameter you set to use a different port for a second user behind the same IP.

    Maybe CS has something similar

I got that from here a long time ago.

if somone digs out the CS commandline parameters I guess there maybe one there to do something similar.
Now where did i put that Q3A disc.... I aint played that in years..

Esquire is correct, NAT can't perform it. Maybe you can share the IP address of the CS server, we'll meet there sometime.. :)

no, NAT should perform it with ease..
because I used redhat linux iptables router before I changed to WRT54G, and it worked flawlessly.

And since they are basically the same. WRT54G is linux based too, and using the same iptables . it should ve been working the same way.

What I am afraid about, I didnt clean the nvram properly before I upgraded to DD-WRT or Thibor, hence the wrong settings kept in the nvram.
    Is that possible ?

And if you read the first reply on this thread.. someone had it working with no prob.
2 clients, connect to the same server.
