    Hi,

    I currently have version 2 and 4
    No problem.

I am looking to buy a new WRT54G....but the newer version I had 5 I returned it was a pos. Do the newer versions 6 or 7 are any good? This is not for me for a friend I am setting up wireless network so ordering a L version I will not do. Looking more for something that can be found at BestBuy CircuitCity and such.

    Help appreciated.

    Chris

I agree with BanditRider I like the WRTSL54GS I use along with Thibor firmware of course ;) Obviously it a little more expensive than the WRT54G but its worth it for the file/media server capability.

Marinemaster, just so as you know, and depending on exact model, you may now have gotten yourself a "Buffalo WRT54G". The word is that Buffalo and Linksys apparently use near-identical if not identical insides, based on the Broadcom design.
