    Hi,

    I am helping a school in the country that can get Rogers Wireless USB rocket stick. I am using it with a Cradlepoint CBA250 adapter to convert the cell signal to IP. It has an IP pass through feature which is what I am looking for.

    I am able to connect to the adapter via CAT6 cable with my laptop to configure the adapter. I can also get online once configured.

    However, when I put the Linksys WRT54G v2.2 flashed with Tomato firmware (latest one), the WAN address shows the correct dynamic IP address given by Rogers. I can ping the WAN IP address but I can't ping any address further away from my network.

    Also, I have a Buffalo Wireless G router working perfectly on a DSL home network with Tomato firmware (not the latest firmware). But when I try it on with the CBA250 adapter, it has the exact same issue on this network as the WRT54G.

    Lastly, I have a BESRF41 wired router. Basic Linksys router firmware (not the latest), and this router works great! Unfortuneately..... I say this because I need the filtering and great features of Tomato firmware.

    Ideally, I'd like to have just one router (other than the router on the CBA250) flashed with Tomato firmware. I just can't find the one (or two) settings that need to change to get the internet functioning through either the WRT54G or the Buffalo router.

    Please help
    thanks!

    What netmask and gateway does the Tomato router get? Tomato has a problem, inherited from Linksys code, when the WAN gateway is not in the network defined by the WAN IP address and WAN netmask - the default gateway route command fails. This often occurs with half-bridge modems, can be fixed with a firewall script

    Code:
    GW=$(nvram get wan_gateway)
    IF=$(nvram get wan_iface)
    route add -host $GW dev $IF
    route add default gw $GW
    Not sure if this is your problem...
