I searched the forums for a resolution to this issue but didn't find anything.

I'm running a Linksys WRT54G, version 2. I upgraded to the latest "official" firmware from Linksys. After the upgrade, my Netgear WG511 wireless G card stopped working. My integrated B card in my Thinkpad T41 still works fine. I checked to ensure that I chose "mixed" in the admin panel on the router and it was. I thought that switching to a different firmware would be a good test to see if the official firmware from Linksys is the issue. I decided to install the latest hyperwrt firmware but I'm still having the same issue.

Is there a way to "downgrade" to the original firmware? No worries if that is not possible. I just thought that that would be a good troubleshooting step.

Anyone else out there with this issue?

well, good news is that the card is still good. i tested it on an access point at a client's office, this morning. is it possible that there's a little bug in the newest firmware from Linksys? I thought that it would have been found by now. isn't the hyperwrt firmware based off of the Linksys firmware? Would it be worth it to try another hacked firmware? maybe tomato?
