The other day my internet connection started seriously lagging, so I decided to check out my router. After I tried to reconnect, it wouldn't work. Basically the point I'm at now is: 1. My modem works. 2. My WRT54G v1.1 router works with my computer. 3. My network adapter downstairs does NOT connect to the network. I remember using NetSet before, solving all my problems. However, when I try to use it, all that happens is it sounds like it's loading, then a file called selfextr.cfg appears, which contains the file path that leads to my temp file which contains the NetSet files. Then it just stops. I was able to get this very program working on the downstairs computer, although it doesn't do anything since that computer doesn't have the router. So I've come to the conclusion that it's some setting on my computer that's causing the NetSet.exe to extract that file and cease working. Any ideas?
