After transferring NETSETUP from No. 1 XP computer to No.2 Win98 computer the installation of NETSETUP was cancelled due to restrictions in affect on win 98 computer.

Computer No 1 XP was setup by the Linksys CD. The router is BEFSR42 ver 2 and I have a cable internet connection.

Previously I had incorrectly configured the router to No 2 Win 98 before I realise that this configuration was for the HOST computer only.

At the present time the two computers can both communicate with the internet but cannot communicate with one another.

I would like to know how to make the necessary changed for the computers to also communicate with on another.

Re Netsetup installation cancelled on Win 98

I followed your suggestion and found that XP was OK but it did not overcome the problem with 98. It appears that the incorrectly installed Router Firmware in 98 is blocking attempts to set it up.

I must first uninstall the incorrectly installed Firmware first and need advise on how to do this!
