Hi everyone this is my first post and I am in need of a little help

    I'll explain my setup:

I have a Windows PC connected to a Cable USB modem. This PC is also connected to my WRT54GS v1 via ethernet. The router is also connected to another Windows PC which shares the internet connection via ethernet.

Or atleast it did before I installed the DD-WRT firmware. Oh, and I also have a laptop so that I can connect to the internet and the other PCs wirelessly.

As I said, it was all working fine before until I installed this firmware (which I really want) so I've included a pic of my network connections on the PC connected to the modem and the router.

On my other PC that shares the internet connection the only network connection is named "Local area connection", is enabled and seems to be functioning.

Now I am reasonably knowledgable that I was able to set-up the router when I first got it but this appears to be beyond me since I don't know whether it's a setting within the router or the network connection settings that require editing.

If you require any other information in order to help me I'll be glad to supply it and thanks in advance - I'm just thankful I didn't brick it!

Oh, and I realise that Local Area connection 3 is disabled but the internet doesn't function on this PC unless I disable that connection. I hope that helps?
