Hello, my neighbors and I want to make a network to play PC games, 2 of us have Internet connections to a Linksys Router. So, I decided to make subnets to make that happen and connect the 3 houses with APs in Bridge mode, then use RIP2 or Static Routes for each LAN. My question is, will that work for Games and File transfers, etc? Do I need to turn off DHCP if i use small IP ranges in each router?

Here's a diagram I made to make myself clear:
BTW, Red means Net. Subred subnet.

    whats ur question there padre?
it looks like it will work.
    except that a subnet is
and - 100 is just an ip range turn off dhcp and set statci ip's it will make routing stuff easier
also keep records of each systems ip so that you can change stuff later.

The thing is, I want different subnets for each router, and if I use, both routers will be in the same network.
My question again is, If I have 2 subnets will I be able to see my neighbors computers?

And what if I enable DHCP on WRT54G in a range from to And enable DHCP on BEFW11s4 in a range from to Is that valid?

If "see" means being able to connect to shares on these machines the answer is yes if your routing setup is ok.

As long as you use the correct netmask and broadcast address the answer is yes again.

    Just my 2 €-cents.
