New Firmware for the RVL200 v1.0.16 (BETA)

    At last the RVL200 has a new firmware for download.

    NOTE this is Beta Firmware.

    The changes include many new features and fixes which are all listed below:

    RVL200 Firmware v1.0.16 Release Note

    New Features:
    1. Port Mirroring
    2. SNMP v3
    3. IP&MAC Binding, Help updated for MAC Filter
    4. Compliant with UPnP IGD Certification
    5. One-to-One NAT
    6. IPSec: NetBIOS Broadcast
    7. IPSec: Remote Security Group Type supports IP Range
    8. IPSec: Keying Mode supports Manual
    9. SSH Sentinel Client supported in NAT-T scenario
    10. Virtual Passage Client supports Windows 2003 server.
    11. Besides PAP, RADIUS Supports CHAP, MSCHAP, MSCHAPV2 authentication.
    12. Time Zone description and index modified
    13. Add Access Rule Policy Name
    14. Add 24-hr in scheduling
    15. SNMP Trap: LAN port Link-up/Link-down detection for EZConfig
    16. Add Manual Daylight Saving
    17. Add configurable options (similar to RV042) to the Syslog configuration.
    18. Allow http/https to be enabled/disabled.
    19. PPTP Passthrouh supports multiple sessions.
    20. IPSec Passthrough supports multiple sessions.
    21. IPSec VPN supports IPcompress.
    22. IPSec: Phase2 Encryption & Authentication support Null

    Issues Fixed:
    1. Fixed the PPPoE issue where connection will fail to establish when the PPPoE username contains a # sign.
    2. Fixed the issue where the firewall status (SPI/DoS/BlockWANRequest/RemoteManagement) is not shown correctly in the System Summary page when the firewall is disabled.
    3. The IP range of Virtual Passage was changed to 6, instead of 10.
    4. Removed the reference to Priority in the Help page of Port Management->Port Setup, since the setting is supposed to be configured on the Qos page.
    5. Fixed the issue where the packet will appear coming from the router's LAN IP, when a packet is forwarded to the DMZ Host in the LAN of RVL200.
    6. Fixed an issue with PPTP Passthrough.

    **In case users failed to upgrade the firmware via Web UI and the DIAG LED is blinking, users can use a TFTP utility (RVL200_1.0.13.exe available on linksys.com) to recover the device and then use the Web UI to upgrade the firmware to the latest version.

    Thanks Toxic for the update it's very much appreciated.

    Got a reply from Linksys support today where I was updating them about my problems with the router and asked about the firmware if it was close to release and surprise they didn't know squat.
