Asus released two new fw for Asus Rt-n18u (maybe for others routers too).

    Here is the changelog:
    - the first one - v3.0.0.4.382.39935 - this one is fine

Anyway there is the newest (second one):

The red text makes me confused, so I wont be able to downgrade to the previous Asus firmware or to any other alternative 3rd firmwares (Tomato, DD-WRT, etc.) in future?!

I was struggling to download the recently tomato to ac56u that was upgraded to the newest OFW. It does not take the third firmware of gui only :) RMerlin has an input here.
In the network it is difficult to find operating asus restoration tools.
    See for yourself.
It looks like the planned Asus action

So is it possible to flash Tomato fw via ASUS fw restoration tool (even from the newest version of stock fw)?

yes, but it's hard to find working asus resturation tools - older versions do not want to work, etc.
by CFE Mini Web Server you can also try - I did not succeed.
Only the appropriate version of asus restoration tools has helped

I found myself in this situation once.

IIRC, you should be able to download an older stock firmware without this "enhanced security mechanism" in place, and use the CFE Mini Web Server to restore. Once you load that, you can then flash to third party firmware again.

I suspect they are referring to password encoding changes that won't be backwards compatible and require factory default reset on downgrades, but that's just my opinion based on this changelog.
