I still have a Linksys WRT54G (I think it's a v2) w/ Thibor firmware. I have two Hawking high gain non-directional antennas connected to it.

How does my router compare to the new Linksys routers that do not have external antennas? My WRT54G still works fine. Any reason for me to upgrade to one of these new models w/ no external antenna?

These new routers without antennas usually have worst signal quality than routers with them.

They feel and measured the same to me.

I just looked at the bottom of my router and it's actually a WRT54GL v1.1. I'm using Thibor 15c on it. Is there anything better than Thibor 15c for my router?

Thanks for your contribution. My old Linksys router WRT54GS works fine with my Dell laptop before .
