If i want to flash my WRT54G v2.2 to the latest dd-wrt (12-10-05), is it needed to downgrade the official firmware (atm v4.01.2, EU)?

And the steps that's needed to flash successfull are (correct me if i'm wrong:)

    1. Flash
    2. Reboot
    3. Press the resetbutton+disconnect powercable the same time
    4. Wait 1 minute
    5. Connect powercable and login in Gui with no username + password admin

Are these steps correct? (i want to use SNMP/Logging, and want to have more options like static dhcp, that's why i choose dd-wrt)

    Static DHCP assignments

It seems that Static DHCP assignments (based on MAC address) still doesn't save. If you update the input box and click save, it just removes the settings from the input box and no changes were made.

Does anyone else have this problem? Brainslayer, have you looked into it?

    Re: Static DHCP assignments

I have seen this symptom if there was a bad character imbedded in the IP MAC name string. Also - illegal chars in hostname "-" for example causes this input box to clear when a save is attempted

Yes it's work with RP PPPoE I tested. If RP PPPoE disabled pppoe client work on wrong interface in client mode vlan1, but if enabled RP PPPoE interface is eth1 wireless client and PPPOE work.

    Thank's BrainSlayer. :thumb:

    Re: Static DHCP assignments

    I'm using the following syntax:

    192.168.1.10 00:00:01:02:03:04 workstation

Doesn't seem to be working. Anyone else want to check?

Web server crashes after saving the configuration.
DDNS works! Maybe works also with previous builds which I did not test.
WDS with WPA2 works only 2 minutes then breaks likes its previous one.

Bug in wireless client mode and PPPOE. Reset or power up ruter PPPOE don't connect try pppoe -I eth1 -d no PADO packets from server, but click on button save setting in Administration PPPOE in client mode work.

I also try on older version v23 some problem pppoe -I eth1 -d no PADO packets but click on save setting or change same setting on rutter and do not reboot pppoe -I eth1 -d print session info.

Also try pppoe-relay in wireless client mode (pppoe-relay -S eth1 -C br0) reboot ruter don't work changing some setting or simply click on save setting pppoe-relay work, tested on 1210 version and older.

When Syslog is enabled the Telnet/SSH won´t work!

In VOIP Version the KAID-Feature is in Webfrontend.

WLAN light is still on after I disable wireless mode from GUI with my WRT54G v2.
Don't know if there is any wireless signal, since I do not have any wireless device at present.

The only "Router GUI Style" on the "Status" page that displays info for "Firmware Version", "Current Time", "MAC Address" and "Router Name" is the "BrainSlayer" GUI style.

This has been a consist (minor) issue for at least the last couple of betas.

On the subject of the "Firmware Version" on the "Status" page, it only says "DD-WRT V23".

It would be helpful if it would have a date or sub-release version, maybe both. For example, "DD-WRT V23 121005 Mini".

This is not a real bug, but I have several WRT54GSes and it sometimes is hard to tell which firmware variation is in which.

Problems when using large access restrictions, iptables goes blank after reboot.

DHCPd still crash after a while. httpd die after backup.

DNSMasq as DHCP dont support static DHCP ( GUI )

DHCP clients tables goes empty when using dnsmasq as DHCP

In port range forward if i use a ip like 192.168.200.200, when i save, last number disapear like : 192.168.200.20, i have to complete and save again after that work ok (old problem, since v22)

Please increase the number of MACs AND IPS in access restrictions/edit list of pcs.

Please update KAID to lastest version and include PSP support.

Is possible to create a default/standart page to nocat ?

In firmware upgrade, what is the difference between firmware defaults and factory defaults ? If there s a difference why dont u put an option that restore to firmware defaults in GUI ?

Is there a way to restart DHCPd after a crash without rebooting?

I can confirm this. It, as well as wireless security, should get turned off when wireless is turned off.
