v23-beta-2: the firmware does now support GSv4 firmwares for backflashing to linksys 22.12.2005: 0000514 21/12 build: WRT54G 1.1 RESET button does not work ! 0000517 Wireless Active Client List : bug in the max. clients number 0000507 Wrong Version Number in Firmware 0000509 Address spelled wrong
@all Not sure if this problem only tends me or others too, so i may ask here: I've setup an AP with about 30 Clients (DD-WRT client-mode) with the new V23 (actualy the 22/12). Immediatly after the reboot the AP "sees" ALL 30 Clients with them MAC and a rssi value of 0 (ok thats normal because the messeaure starts not immediatly) .... but after a short time (2 to 5 Minutes) a great part of the clients are not in the list anymore ! (only 5 to 20). Then, if i wait a few minutes more, the clients increase again to 30. this goes on further. Some Client-Users told me that they have a short outage randomly, at this time when i look at the statuspage the client-list is again reduced to only 5-20 clients. And .... horrible ... ive nothing, absolut nothing within syslog or dmesg regarding this error. Also, the WRT is NOT rebooting if there was an outage. What ive done sofar is: Changed the APs IP Replaced the Antenna-cable Switched from Ant-Left to Ant-right Replaced the Hardware 3 Times Stumbled around if there is an other one running on this channel What ive NOT done sofar: Replaced the Firmware with older one So what i want to know is: Is this only MY Problem/issue or does anyone have the same effects ? Or .... is it only the Client-List issue (517 in Bugtracker), but if so, why are these short outages ? REM: Before ive had running an old V23 Version on this AP which covers more then 63 Clients at once ! (but stupid me, i dont know which one it was) Greets MBChris
"mtd erase nvram;reboot" 22-12-05 std also "mtd erase nvram;reboot" 22-12-05 std on wrt54gs & wrt54g, hangs must power off to recover router. bugtracker #170
@MBChris try this "Beacon Interval" to 50 "RTS Threshold" to 2304 "Fragmentation Threshold" to 2304 from http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules....ight=wireless+adapter+able+access+point++2304 also dont forget to use the same or a lower mtu (sometimes auto doesnt work in non gateway mode. ex WDS nodes)
