I just bought a new e3000 to replace an aging buffalo airstation. I went through a lot of config steps and the router running tomato (latest toastman build that I could find as of a couple of days ago) seems ok...except port forwarding is not working (I see a lot of port forwarding issues with tomato while doing google searches).

I have simple port forwarding needs...
If there is an ssh to my WAN IP address from a specific IP address, I want that ssh (coming in on port 22) to go to port 22 on a specific host on my network.
Also, if anyone does a telnet (port 23) to my WAN IP address, I want that telnet on 23 to go to port 23 on a specific host (I host a public access hp2000 emulator).

But ssh and telnet both seem to be being blocked even though I set up port forwarding rules...

Other than this, tomato and the e3000 seem excellent!

Thanks..I scanned through those links...mostly people having similar troubles..not a lot of specific answers...but...I did get a clue that may have fixed my trouble.
I couldn't ping the gateway from the two devices in question..they were using static IP set-ups on those machines, but I also had them coded in the dhcp table.
I changed both systems to use dhcp, corrected errors in their mac addresses..and now it seems better...thanks!
