New user here, been doing a lot of reading but still can't figure out what is wrong with my wireless. I have a WL-520GU flashed with Teddy Bear extras (for NTFS support) the only settings I have changed from the defaults are adding a printer and NAS via USB. Other than that I have the wireless network settings all set to default with a WPA password. I know it is not scientific but speedtest.net via a wired lan port has me at 13-15 Mbps down, 2-3 up but when I go wireless I am looking at .8 down and 1 up. Have tried this on different computers with the same result. Nothing else is running, ie bittorrent, to conflict with data speeds so I don't think its a QoS issue. Any suggestions? I am not sure if I am using the same channel but my old WRT54GS (stock firmware) had no issues holding 10 Mbps via wireless.

    Any help would be appreciated.

So I did some more troubleshooting and it's not the internet or the WiFi by themselves but together it's dead. I ran some tests moving files to/from the NAS via wifi and around 1MB/S TX and RX so the wifi is working fine, not super fast but good enough for me. Then I ran a wired LAN to see if the internet was ok, and I am getting anywhere from 3-5Mbps down (much slower now during peak hours vs late last night when I got 13!) and 1 Mbps up. Wireless I am getting 1Mbps down, 1 up. So for some reason it looks like internet via wifi maxes out at 1Mbps.

    Any suggestions?

I have tried different channels, but had no effect.
