    Hey Guys,

flashed from 9006 to 9011 on my RT-N16 unit.
I reconfigured all my stuff but now my router isnt stable anymore.
It keeps rebooting after some minutes/hours.

    What can/should i do ?
  4. Washu-Chan Reformed Router

Did you use the proper build? Did you do a full NVRAM reset after installing the firmware?

Hello to all here! Now,that Victek repo it's down,I can't find nowhere to download latest beta build for E3000 (tomato-E3000USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.9011MIPSR2-RAF-NCC-VLAN-VPN-NOCAT.bin) . Maybe a kind soul has it on PC,and could upload it on a dropbox link,or an upload site ,because I need it badly. Thanks a lot! Best Regards!

So I am looking to purchase a few : WNR2000 at all my satellite locations. Can someone just confirm which features would be available to me on this, and which wouldnt.

The main feature I would like to have is openvpn [client+server] /pptp [ client + server ] /ipv6 and a few of the most used ones.

    - Assid
  8. Washu-Chan Reformed Router

    What version is this model?

If it's a V2, the only build that can fit the WNR2000 is Toastman's micro/tiny builds.

    http://infodepot.wikia.com/wiki/Netgear_WNR2000_v2.0

The max firmware size it ca take is 3,473,408 bytes, due to the way Netgear formats the NVRAM.

That model uses an R2 CPU.
  9. Assid Reformed Router

The question here would be if all the features mentioned would be supported? Thats the main worry. I cant see a feature comparison chart that shows which feature would work
  10. Washu-Chan Reformed Router

Based on what I know, on the micro/tiny builds, there's no OpenVPN or IPV6 support.

Which one would you suggest then. The RTN-16 is a bit more expensive.. specially considering I need to buy a couple of these..

    Nobody can help me? :(
Please,if you have it on your PC ,upload it somewhere and put here the link, maybe others need it too.

Victek's site is back up. All files seem to be working. Glad to see he's still with us. :)

Just wondering Eahm, you were a long time Shibby user before. Why the switch to Victek? Have you tried any of the later Shibby builds (is up to v95 now)?
  18. Holy_Hunter Reformed Router

Hey Victek is it possible to implement Bandwidth Limiting br1/2/3 feature in your builds like in Shibby mod?
    Would be so great...
  19. Assid Reformed Router

Which one would you guys suggest. The RTN-16 is a bit more expensive.. specially considering I need to buy a couple of these.. I am looking for ipv6+openvpn amongst primary functionality
  20. eahm Addicted to LI

Victek's was the one I always used, I've tried Shibby's the past year because it was the most updated and more stable than Toastman and others. I love the stability of Shibby's. I like Victek's for business, no other particular reasons.

    Did not test 095 yet.

    Code:
    Tomato Firmware RAF1.28.9007 MIPSR2_RAF K26 USB VPN-NOCAT
    Linksys e3000

I cant hit any higher than 144Mbps, Looks like its being limited.

Using 2.4GHz Wireless with a channel width of 40MHz. Why is it still being limited to 144Mbps?

  24. kthaddock LI Guru

With that setup is your client who limit you to 144Mbps.
Seem that only use 1-channel 40Mhz you need 2-channel 40Mhz to hit 300Mbps.
And you need to have WMM enabled
  25. nobugme LI Guru

What a foolish mistake on my part. Laptop now able to hit full speed after setting channel width to auto in device manager
    [IMG]

However i seem to be having a problem with my "Repeater Bridge". I know im asking this in the wrong place, but so far i haven't had any help figuring this out.
I have a linksys e2000 flashed with ddwrt (tomato cannot do Repeater Bridge) however it cannot seem to break the 150Mbps limit. As you can see the tomato router (e3000) is transmitting at a rate >200Mbps.

    DDWRT - Repeater Bridge - Linksys e2000

    Tomato - Router - Linksys e3000

Also, when ever i specify to use the same channel (channel 11) on the Repeater Bridge (e2000) as the router (e3000) it will automatically change to another channel itself. Anyone know whats up?
*EDIT*:Seems like ddwrt is reporting incorrect Channel, compare with inSSIDer scan below.

Working with UCI and incorporating siproxyd for 9012, I'm hide but Tomato RAF is growing. Thanks to all using Tomato RAF
  28. HorseCalledHorse Networkin' Nut

Great to hear from you, Victek, and I'm glad you're taking your time. TomatoRAF 9011 has been rock solid for me and my E3000 ever since I installed it. I cant imagine it getting much better than it already is:)
  29. lissny Reformed Router

  30. alexlau Networkin' Nut

Cannot wait to see the future :)

-- Problems with "Wireless Client Mode" --

    hi there,

    i have a cisco/linksys E3000

i just flashed the new beta "tomato-E3000USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.9011MIPSR2-RAF-NCC-VLAN-VPN-NOCAT.bin / 2012-Jul-22 / 04:34:23" cause my "old" dd-firmware had some trouble with dhcp in "repeater" mode (sometimes clients did not get an IP address via DHCP - this does only happen with the E3000 not with a WRT160NL on the dd-firmware). but i want to use the E3000. so i switched to the latest tomato-RAF beta.

but on my E3000 it seems that "wireless client mode" does not work.

i only use the 2,4GHz radio - WAN option is "DHCP". i configured ssid and security according to the "host-router". but the e3000 never get's any DHCP configuration (IP, Gateway, ..) of the host router.
in "Status/Overview" the wireless signal strength/quality is only 1-5 but in "Status/Devices(List)" it shows me 30-40 on "eth1" (which correspond to the signal strength of the dd-setup). furthermore the device/eth1 disappears and reappears in "Status/Devices(List)".

    what i wanted to implement:

host router with internet access (10.0.0.1 = gateway) <-- tomato-RAF as "wireless client" (ex. 10.0.0.2 via DHCP from host router) --> tomato-RAF with VSSID (ex. 192.168.4.1) --> via this VSSID segment my clients get IPs via DHCP out auf range ex. 192.168.4.100-120) and also ethernet-cable-bound clients get IPs out of this range.

is this setup possible with tomato-(RAF) ??

    thanks for any pursuing answers!!

the problem is not victek / tomoto-RAF related.

If anyone has an E4200 with Victek's firmware already could check something for me, I would appreciate it. I'm trying to find a version of firmware that is stable for 5ghz client ethernet bridge. I've tried Toastman and Shibby, so far Shibby's seems to be better, but it still disconnects and doesn't give me the full bandwidth that it should. I'd flash myself but if someone already has it, I'd like to not flash away from a relatively stable build while it's still up.
