[newbie ask] routing Linksys RV042

    [newbie help] FAIL routing Linksys RV042

    Hi, I'm newbie I have 2 Linksys RV042 at City A and City B, both off them have internet connection, and I want LAN At city A and City B become one network

    Router City A 110.110.110.110 (internet)
    LAN 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.255
    gateway Lan 192.168.1.1

    Router City B 220.220.220.220 (internet)
    LAN 192.168.10.0-192.168.10.255
    gateway Lan 192.168.10.1

    i'm just try static routing but fail this my trial routing
    Static Routing Rv042 City A
    192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0 220.220.220.220 (WAN1)

    Static Routing Rv042 City B
    192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 110.110.110.110(WAN1)

    how to make connection city A with City B and i can ping LAN City B From Lan City A

    seems that you need VPN before you do any static routing...

    You need to establish an IPSec VPN connection between the two routers. Plenty of tutorials on doing this all over the internet. Good Luck!

    Once the VPN tunnel is connected, the router does all the routing table changes by itself. So, there is no need for static routing.
