Hi all, i got DD-WRT installed just fine on my WRT54GL, but i need help trying to things set up. Im sorry in advance for the long post.

Firstly, i think i've got my modem and router setup right i think.

The modem a Linksys AM200 is set to PPPoA and has the DHCP server turned off.

The WRT54GL which has DD-WRT installed has the "Internet Connection Type" set to "Disabled" and the "assign to WAN port to switch" box is ticked.

    the router ip bits are:
    local IP address: 192.168.2.2
    subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.2.1 (this is the AM200's ip address)
    local DNS: 192.168.2.1

    so basically

    AM200 <--RJ45--> WRT54GL <--RJ45s--> computers
    192.168.2.1 192.168.2.2 192.168.2.3~15

    is that alright?

Secondly, im trying to setup Access Restrictions for a few of the computers on the network. to restrict their access between 6pm and 11pm due to a Fair Usage Policy and that the people sharing the network don't seem to care.

but when i tested the Access Restriction, it doesn't seem to work, im using MAC addresses to try to restrict access but when i added my laptop's MAC address i could still access the internet and download things, i even went to the extent to deny it access every day for 24 hours and that didn't seem to work either.

    the laptops settings are:

    ip address 192.168.2.5
    subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    default gateway: 192.168.2.2
    preferred DNS server: 192.168.2.2

    192.168.2.2 being the WRT54GL

can any one help me? and again im sorry for the really long post, but i really do need some help thanks in advance!

    -Victor
