Hi.....I'm pretty new to networking. I just bought a linksys v3 WRT54G and was trying to configure my network. Like many others, I had connection problems. My g connection dies off rapidly with range, even though my b connection's fine. I tried everything listed in this forum (driver update, tweaks, etc) without much success. The G connection is fine in medium range, which is 1-2 rooms. I quickly realized that my B connection has a substantially longer range than the G. My question is...is there any way to quickly/easily switch between 802.11b & g on my laptop's side (maybe somehow make two profiles- 1 which forces b and one which forces g)? I have the Intel 2200 wireless card and use either Windows or Intel to control it. Thanks in advance!
