    Hi everybody,

I have updated my WRT54GS v1.1 to HyperWRT 2.1b1 WRT54GS based on the official firmware 4.70.6.
Everything works fine except that nothing happens when I tried to change transmission power (up and down) or when I tried to change the transmission speed (always 54 mbps according to Windows, 36 mbps according to Network stumbler).

As this router is really working very well, I wonder if I am doing something wrong. For example, Am I suppose to activate something in order to have the changes accepted , etc ... ?

I would really appreciate your helps.

By the way, i tried a prior version of the modded firmware (based on 3.36.7 , I think). and it is exactly the same thing.

Your right i have not solved it :(

Do you mean with holding the reset in for 10 secs approx? until blinking?

I did a full reset and now it works ... however, I think that the reason is not the reset. I have spent a lot of time on this yesterday (during formula 1 cause it's boring ...) and I have 2 coments :

    1) it definitely doesn't work if I use the "% scale". I have to go to manual setting and not use the 2 extremes (not under 22 mw and not higher than 83 mW)

    2) The difference between the 2 extremes is very slight and if you're not caution enough, it is very normal to conclude that there is no difference ... Although, there is a slight one

Conclusion : or it is still wrong or it is meaningless.

Finally, what definitely doesn't work is to change the transmission rate. always 54 and 36 mbps according to Windows and Network Stumbler respectively.

Al this is quite disappointing but not very important. :???:

What about expanding the range of the router with the AG7T antennas of Linksys ? :poke:
