Any plan to support No-IP DDNS ??
Could be great ... :cheering:
I'd want this to
support from this: www.ez-ipupdate.com could be added. no-ip isn't one of them
Checking back to see if there are any plans to add No-IP to HyperWRT Thibor.
has no-ip appeared in the supported dns providers list?
if not, then no plans to add it.
I did a search for the supported dns providers and could not find it unless it is http://www.ez-ipupdate.com/ and several on the list are out of business.
I signed up for the free account at dyndns.org, however, their list of available names were limited with names that were too long or outrages or did not apply for the needs. Simple names like No-Ip were much easier to use.
Is there anyway to update the list or find out if no-ip can be added? Anyone know who to contact? There wasn't any contact info on the ez-ipupdate site.
why not just use the no-ip client and install it on the computer that is on all the time?
I'm accessing a network of computers 160 miles away. Although I ask them to leave the computer with the no-ip client installed on, some times it not responsive from lock, power outage or someone shuts it down. Since I'm a volunteer, and I work on them mostly at night, if the ip is not updated, I'm done for the night. This way I can continue to access the computers and the routers that are on and maintain them.
