No WDS in WRT54G v5 (1.00.4).... Right ?

Please consider the following scenario in a 6 floor building :
    Network A (2nd floor) - 1 x WAG54G (don't know the version) with a dedicated ADSL line
    Network B (4th floor) - 1 x D-Link DSL-300T (ADSL modem) with a dedicated ADSL line + 1 x WRT54G v5
    Network C (6th floor) - 1 x D-Link DSL-300T (ADSL modem) with a dedicated ADSL line + 1 x WRT54G v5
Each wireless network has a different SSID.
Each router has a different set of allowed wireless MAC addresses.
I'm connected (wireless) to WAG54G (network A in 2nd floor).
I can also see and connect Network B on the 4th floor but I can't reach the 6th floor (Network C).
On the other hand, if I go to 4th floor I can see and connect to Network C on the 6th floor.

As I don't want to enable the router's Remote Administration, I thought that maybe I can access the router in the 6th floor through the router in the 4th floor.

    So my questions are :
    - Is it possible ? And at the same time make sure that each set of wireless MACs only use their own ADSL line) ?
    - If so, how can I do it ?

If you need any aditional details, please feel free to ask.

    Many thanks

After reading some more posts I realise that I must have a WAG54G V1.0, because the label in the router's bottom doesn't mention any version number ...

Also, I forgot to mention that both WRT54G v5 are with firmware v1.00.4

All routers are currently DHCP enabled and with default IP configuration.

OK. Perhaps the above scenario is a bit confusing .... :eyebrow:

Let me put it another way !

    If I :
    - setup all the 3 routers with the same SSID/channel ;
    - disable their DHCP
    - keep their own MAC filter table
    - setup each one with it's own IP address (192.168.1.1/2/3)
    - setup each ADSL modem also with it's own IP address (192.168.1.4/5).
    - setup up all the clients with static IPs (each set of clients with the respective Gateway)

    Then :
    - Will I manage to reach the 6th floor router through the 4th floor router ?
    - Will this setup make sure that each set (floor) of wireless clients will only use their own (their floor's) ADSL line ?

Any advice will be much appreciated ! :)

 Now I understand why nobody care to reply ... :wallbang:

I've just started my wireless adventure in the worst way ... but I've already started to learn somethings ... with time I think I'll get there ... eventually. :)

It seems that for me to have WDS support in my WAG54G_EU v1.2 with firmware 1.01.6, I would have to upgrade it to 1.02.7.

It happens that my WAG is very stable and problems free :D

I quite agree DocLarge's opinion in his reply to this post : :agree:

The part were he says 'there is "no going back" to 1.01.06' and all the problems reported by other guys in the forums, are enough for me not feeling confortable to try the upgrade ! :noway:

Besides that, even that I upgrade the WAG I still would be stuck with the 2 x WRT54G v5 because they simply don't support WDS ... :x

    Right ?

I'm going to return the WRT's to the store ... problem is that I won't find a v4 anywhere at this time ...

    Cheers ! :thumb:
