I’am trying to add a Dell notebook to my network, consisting of a desktop PC and a WRT54GL. The wireless connection is working nicely here.
The notebook is a “handmedown†Latitude D600 running XP prof.

I deleted the old notebook network connections and disabled the Firewall.
I changed the channel on the router to 1 (notebook couldn’t see ch.13) and disabled the MAC filter. The notebook now sees my network and after typing my WEP key, i am connected. Yet i cant browse the internet or access the webUtility. When i hook up the LAN-cable it connects to the internet and i can access the WebUtility no problem.
When i ping the router it only works with the LAN-card, not with the wireless.
At linksys they don’t realy know what’s wrong and advise me to upgrade the firmware (now .07) but i think it has something to do with the notebook instead. I also updated the drivers for the Dell 1350 PCI card already. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help much appreciated!
