When using the Noise Floor Measure button under Device List,I get a wide range of results depending on which tomato firmware I have installed on my WRT54GL. For example, with Victek 1.25.8515.2 I get -98 dBm which is the lowest noise floor I have seen. With other tomato firmwares, I can get as high as -82 dBm. I realize that the way Tomato calculates the noise floor may not be accurate, however, is it calculated the same across all mods such that the relative accuracy between mods is accurate?
It will depend upon many things especially the wireless driver version in use. In a word, probably there's no consistency.
