I had a BEFW11S4 V2 and a WSB24 with HGA7T 7 dBi high gain antenas. Then I found out about this site and rushed out to buy a brand new WRT54G and upgraded my firmware with HyperWRT 2.1b1 and replaced the antenas with the HGA7T. I set the transmit to 100% . Now it appears that the distance I get in my house is less. What did I do wrong????? Can anyone help?????

try to turn transmitting power down a bit. when you turn the transmitting power up the router can get hot and it can decrease in performence.
try to put the wrt some were high maybe or ina open area with not to many walls.

maybe you are picking up some interference from a neighbors wireless network or a cordless phone. or maybe the new antennas a defective.
