    Has anyone seen this:

wouldn't it be great if you could just plug all you spare flash memory into one array and see it as just one disk.

As flash cards get bigger and cheaper what do I do with the old ones? wouldn't it be great if someone made an array that you could plug all your spare SD/CF/USB flash memory into?

    No more HD noise/overheating

I once saw an article that tested a thumb RAID 0 drive (two USB drives) on a Mac for throughput speeds Apparently there is built-in or available software that easily permits doing this. They didn't have any problems setting it up and concluded the RAID drive was much faster.
