    Hi!

I've a Maxtor PATA 300 GB., with NFTS winxp formatted but, doesn't recognized by NSLU2. It must be to change in NTFS/HPFS with a disk utility like Acronis Disk Director Suite (Change type>NTFS/HPFS).

Now, the new h.d., it will come recognized but..............unfortunatelly, it does'nt works properly in filesharing like eMule. In facts, every files, in the hashing operation, reports an error "Failed hash.........Invalid argument"!

    Is there any idea?
    Thanks in advance!
    Mark.

P.S. - Excuse me for my bad english!

    MarkRed:

You didn't mention what firmware you have on your NSLU2 - Have you updated to 2.3R63?

2.3R63 supports FAT32- and NTFS-formatted USB drives (I have 2 of them on mine).

BUT the NSLU2 still "prefers" to be connected to a drive that is formatted EXT3 - a Linux special :)

Can you afford to lose the data on your Maxtor, and let the NSLU2 re-format it to EXT3? That would make your life easier!

I don't use Emule, so I don't know about that particular problem.

Yes, I've already updated the firmware at 2.3R63 version.

Maybe, I must wait next firmware and I hope in a better NTFS compatibility.

    Thanks for your attention.
    Mark.
