nslu2 only via webbrowser

    nslu2 users,

I've been reading this forum for quite a while but it didn't come up with a proper answer though it's a known problem:

I've a nslu2 installed (together with WRT54G) and a 256mb flashdisk. The machine has the latest firmware release (r63). The linksys setup says it's well installed, but stil I'm not able to map the flasdisk, and it's not visible in my networkplaces. At this point a very infamous message shows up: "no network path found". On the other hand, I can reach it via the webbrowser and it's ip.

Any idea what could be the problem?

    Cheers, Robert

Try powering down the NSLU2 for a bit and then power it back up. Should solve the issue.

it may help, but it is not a permanent fix, but it is a great help. :thumb:

Same Problem here - after I converted the drive to NTFS.
    Powering off does not help.

Just one more issue - already had some issues before this.

Formatted to EXT3 and it seems to work.

Now theres a disk1 and an admin1 - the latter needs a password. Which would be what??

Well if you haven't changed the password, admin will be the password for the admin account.

That's what I thought - but oddly enough if you try to access the ADMIN1 share, that password doesn't work.

I'll have to look at it more.

Are you using just admin as the administration ID also?

Don't use admin1. Linksys has made that confusing.

I'm pretty sure I used admin - need to check that.
I don't know why they put that directory on anyway.
