I am on my second NSLU2 (first one was replaced with this one because of apparent problems). I am using it with two Win XP Pro laptops through a Linksys wired/wireless router. I have connected a Maxtor OneTouch II 200GB disk which I used to use a lot, and it is NTFS formatted. If I enable guest logins and set the failed logins to default to 'guest' option, I am able to map drive and view all folders and files. As soon as I disable guest logins, I am unable to even connect to the device/drive. From what I understand, if I have no EXT3 disk, I cannot do much with users and groups. Is that correct? Also, if I want to secure the drive, what is the best way to do it? What I want to avoid is 'guest' and 'everyone' being able to access my hard drive. Any help is appreciated. I can provide more details if you need to.
