    Hi there guys, newbie

Have managed to get ntl to install but not through the installer but with technical support. Strange i know (the installer always gives errors).

I now try to install the linksys wrt54g router. Like it says, have an active internet connection to use cd, so i have. Setup comes with the error "there is no internet connection".

I have read through the manual and it says i need to make the adapter to Obtain Ip Address.

    Adapter 7 - Ethernet adapter
    Use the following IP address
    Ip Address -
    Subnet mask -

    Adapter 6 - USB
    Obtain IP automatically
    In IPConfig the details :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . :
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . :
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

The strange thing also, even the internet via USB, if i change the ethernet adapter config, internet fails.

    Information which might help cause

    Cable modem MAC 00:0E:9B:F1:91:52
Internet Via USB cable to modem
    Windows Xp Pro
    Router wrt54g

Sorry about the length, but any help greatly appreciated
