    Hi,

After having tried the various firmware's for the WRT54G (v1.1), I decided to stick with wifibox'es. It is good at what it does, and what it does is enough to fullfil my needs (tnx Wifi!).

    But...

Having had openwrt, various sveasofts, official linksys and wifi's firmware installed, I think I have a lot of vars in NVRam that are not used anymore, not in this firmware anyway.

Could anyone post a list of nvram vars as found in a 'virgin' WRT54G?
And, could someone who knows post a list of vars that are added by wifi's firmware?

Call it nitpicking if you like, but with the little memory that is inside the blue/black box, every byte counts.

    Thanks,

    Hertog

The NVRAM variables are in a separate area in the flash, so as long as that is not full, then you're not taking space away from anything else.

If you do want to clean it out, Sveasoft have some firmware which you flash once to reset everything back to factory defaults, and then you load whatever new firmware (wifi-box in your case) you want.

Can you post a link to the nvram cleaner software you mention?

    Thanks in advance.
