I am using 1.27vpn3.6 release of Tomato on my wrt54GL router. I went to the openvpn client tab and connected to the VPN by selecting the connection type as custom and pasting the content in the ovpn file to the custom parameters window.

then it connects the VPN, i can see that it is connected. now i want to beidge the LAN ports and the VPN client, how do i do this. please help me to do this.

TAP or TUN? Is the VPN subnet the same as your local LAN subnet? Are you wanting to really bridge the two (same subnet, broadcast messages relay across tunnel) or just have VPN access to/from the LAN computers?

No matter what the answers, though, the easiest way will be to actually use the GUI options instead of bypassing them by using "Custom" and setting it up manually in the Custom Configuration section.

I am using it as TAP. yes that is correct VPN subnet is same as my LAN subnet. I want the router to run the VPN and i want to use IPS from the VPN server side in my LAN, then the LAN users can access other VPN LANS. I tried the same setup using a PC with 2 network cards and open VPN GUI client, then i bridge the LAN and the TAP, it worked..

I tried to use the GUI and entered the certificate details under the certificates but it did not connect lke that.

also in the GUI there is no option to bridge the VPN with the LAN, how do i do the bridging part. (both are on the same IP subnet)

The GUI does bridge the LAN with the VPN when using TAP unless you tell it not to by unchecking the box that indicates that the subnets match. What trouble did you have with the GUI?
