Outdoor hotspot hardware?

I want to create a hotspot with an outdoor device.
From the software side dd-wrt should have everything I need (chillispot, WDS) but I haven't found the hardware for it yet. I'm not really an electronic specialist so I search for a out-of-the-box outdoor device like the WAP54GPE but AFAIK that can't run dd-wrt?
If someone knows any other hardware/firmware combination which would do please let me know. I only need an AP and no DSL modem or similar.

You don't need to put the whole device outdoor - just the antenna(s). So use a WRT and replace one/both antenna with a short piece of cable connected to an outdoor antenna.

Alternatively, you can look at "made for" outdoor devices such as Cisco, Engenius, etc. - be prepared to shell out plenty bucks.
