Paragon NTFS driver on Netgear routers

Discussion in 'Tomato Firmware' started by Deleted member 23868, Apr 20, 2014.

  1. I notice Shibby has added the Paragon NTFS driver for one of the ASUS routers. Is anyone planning on adding it to firmware for NetGear routers like the WNR3500L? Is there some technical/legal aspect that makes it difficult to do? I'm pondering buying a new router just because of the slow NTFS ransfers. TIA.

It is licensed from Paragon by Asus, only for use on Asus routers, and maybe only specific models - not sure.

Netgear was never bought paragon licence for this model. If i good remember, the first netgear`s router with paragon driver was Centria 4700. R7000 has licence for paragon driver.

  4. Rest here

I never tried the stock firmware so I don't know how fast the NTFS driver was. It doesnt have the dlna server so it's no good to me anyway.
