Ping a device every couple of hours

    I have a Linksys PSUS-4 (a usb printer server) that is connected to my GSv4. Unfortunately it goes to sleep periodically. I need a script that wil ping it every couple of hours to keep it awake.

    Why dont you setup a cron job ?

    I'm not that familiar with cron, can you give me some suggestions


    I have enter the following from SSH:

    cru a dgsprt "00 * * * * ping -c 3 192.168.1.10"

    (I realize the is every hour, but if it keeps it awake it will help)

    This should be fine, but use 0 instead of 00 (range is from 0-59)
