I want to buy a linksys router wireless that have:

    -ADSL moden integrated

What is the best model with this configuration.

WAG54-EU does have all this but I have heard that this model is a problematic one, the heat will increase and it will stop work, after this it will need a reset.

    What is your opinion.

    Thank you!

I have a WAG54G and it doesn't give my any problems "now." Initially, it would always lose its ip address around 0100hrs in the morning. So, I called my ISP and had them set my ip address to "static" and I've seen absolutely "no problems." Basically, the WAG54G doesn't have "Automatic Configuration - DHCP" in its firmware menu, so if you have a dynamic isp, it drops the connecton and can't maintain. To solve tis problem in conjunction with the last one, just sign up with a free dynamic dns provider. Go to to get a free dynamic dns in under 5 mins. Once you finish registerering, you'll be ready to work shortly after that.

    Thank you for your reply.

According to the user guide of WAG54G it is possible to use the option "Obtain an IP address automatically", so it should work proprely with your ISP

I have the WAG54G hooked up with no problems, no heat, does not drop connections, broadcasts far more than i expected and does have DHCP capabilities.

I think its ANNEX A (ADSL over PSTN)
